Do You Have Some Weeding to Do?
Apr 3rd, 2007 | By Suzanne | Category: Accountability | |Who are your friends? Do you have loving, supportive people in your life who expect the best from you? Or are your friends more of a pity party, people you go to just to vent and reinforcement that there’s nothing you can do about your problems except feel sorry for yourself?
The quality of your friends is important. When you associate with people who value the work you put into growing yourself, creating the life you really want to live and share those same values, you are surrounded by a strong support network.
When your so-called friends can’t support your growth and the work it takes to keep growing, you cheat yourself out of the love and happiness you could have — both in the quality of your friendships and in your life.
Take stock of your friendships. Are they healthy, life enhancing relationships that support you? Or are there some people, perhaps from the past, who need to be cut loose so you and your life can grow?
Your life is your garden to tend. Weed it regularly so it can bloom!
