Gratitude Story #14: Unseasonably Warm Weather

I am thankful today that the weather has been unseasonably warm where I live. You see, I haven’t purchased oil for my furnace yet. I am thankful that I have had to endure financial hardship because it has taught me a lot about not loving money or things. I believe that when I do come into a place of prosperity that I will have the right attitude and that I won’t forget others who are in need. I have been blessed to get money, I’ve just never been able to keep it. Because of this I truly don’t think I will go crazy when it starts pouring in over and above what I need. God doesn’t mind you having money. He just doesn’t want money to have you.

Note from Suzanne:

I totally agree with you, Irene. I would go so far as to say God wants to bless us immensely, and that includes monetarily. Besides, the more money we have, the more people we can help.
