Oprah’s “A New Earth” Online Class Brought Her Site To Its Knees Tonight
Mar 3rd, 2008 | By Suzanne | Category: Purpose | |Not at all surprising, all the world-wide attendees brought Oprah.com to it’s knees this evening. The site “went dead” about 20 minutes into the class and ‘that was all she wrote for tonight’, as my dad would say.
When you think about it, I guess there’s really no way to ‘test’ for those kinds of conditions - meaning the whole dang planet trying to attend. But it definitely speaks to the power of the promoting of the class that Oprah did on her show and all the rest of us out here in cyberspace did on our blogs and websites.
Having finished reading “A New Earth” over the weekend, I can attest to the power of this book. Oprah said, “I have read many books on spirituality, and this one is the best of the genre.” I agree. There are so many powerful lessons in this book, but right now, the message that speaks the loudest to me is that this moment - now - is where our lives take place, yet so many of us spend our lives avoiding now by reliving the past or anticipating the future. Being present solves countless ‘problems’ and brings us closest to the divine beings we are as we can be in this life.
Oprah.com says the class will be available for download in its entirety tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it.
I’m also looking forward to our free teleconference call tomorrow (Tuesday) evening: 9pm EST 712-432-2000 522322# Hope to hear you there!

I was totally unable to access the website at all. Yes, I did register to audit the class. Is there anyway, for purchase of cd disks or other means to help those unable to participate on the web site?
thank-you

I’m going to download it into my iTunes later this evening.
