Oprah and author, Eckhart Tolle, for the first time ever are teaching A New Earth in Oprah’s worldwide classroom live Monday nights on Oprah.com.

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose is Tolle’s latest book. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Power of Now and several other books.

I have registered for the online class, and am about half-way through reading the book. In my personal opinion, this is NOT the Tolle book to start with if you’ve never read any of his works. I would recommend Practicing The Power of Now, instead. It’s not that A New Earth is a bad or inferior work - quite the opposite, in fact. It’s just that it’s probably the personal development equivalent to running a marathon immediately following the decision to “get some exercise.” Just not the place to start.

However, because Oprah is involved with this online class, I am recommending (and personally can’t wait to start) the online class. Oprah has a great gift for taking complex ideas and breaking them down into understandable pieces, and relating those pieces to everyday life. The class starts Monday, March 3rd, so there’s still time to register, if you’re interested.
