Roll With the Punches

You’d be amazed at how many opportunities come your way…and pass you by because you’re so focused on something else, you don’t recognize them for what they are. Many times, all that’s required for awareness is a shift in attitude or perspective.

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? If you believe this, then take some time to look for the possible reasons. This belief is the source of your ability to maximize the opportunities that do come your way.

When things don’t go the way you planned, instead of focusing on the interruption or the loss, assume that you’ve just been given a surprise gift. Look for it and you’ll find it.

To the extent that you can learn to “roll with the punches” and remember to ask yourself, “Ok, this is not what I’d planned. But if it was, what would I be doing with it?” you will be able to both recognize and maximize many opportunities without having to look very far, at all.
