Setting Personal Boundaries Requires Support
Mar 5th, 2008 | By Suzanne | Category: Accountability, Workshops | |I think we can all agree that most things we set out to do are easier to do when we have support and guidance. Makes sense, right? Want to lose weight? We call our friend and commit to exercising together. We have a major life decision to make? We call on those closest to us who love and care about us the most to help us decide what to do, or at the very least, bounce ideas off of.
Unfortunately, though, when it comes to setting personal boundaries, those closest to us can actually be the least supportive of our efforts because they are likely the first to feel the effects of the changes we’re trying to make. So, what then? Where do you go for support?
How about a group of people who are also learning to set personal boundaries, who are also looking for support and willing to lend theirs? Wouldn’t it be great to have others who are not ‘involved’ in your situation to bounce ideas off of and know that there is a space provided for you to deal with the things you don’t want to share with a group, too?
Beginning March 18th, such a group will exist. Visit the Personal Boundaries: Fences That Set You Free Group Coaching Program for more information.
