Bloggers Unite For Human Rights: The Power of One

May 15th, 2008 | By Suzanne | Category: Memes

The Power of One - that we each possess - activated individually and in unison can effect change. We cannot pass on the opportunity to do what’s right, excusing ourselves because we think our lone voice, our lone action won’t make a difference. If we each exercise the Power of One, combined we become a force to be reckoned with.

As long as we turn a blind eye to the injustices we see in our world, rationalizing that ‘little ol’ me can’t change a thing’, we are a part of the problems we witness.

Be A Lighthouse

Apr 23rd, 2008 | By Suzanne | Category: Purpose

I have uttered these words twice in the last week, once to a coaching client and once to myself, both times in conversation about being a parent. The idea of being a lighthouse is certainly not limited to our role as parents. We can be lighthouses in all areas of our lives.

It’s a simple but powerful equation: small [...]

I mean, really - imagine if you started hearing voices, getting messages and signs [...]

Jul 5th, 2007 | By Suzanne | Category: Detachment

I’m sure we’ve all, at one time or another, wondered how just one person could make an impact, make a difference. My son (and I) were both blessed with an opportunity to do exactly that a few days ago.
Because of the sensitive nature of the situation, I won’t go into much detail, but will concentrate [...]

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
- Maya Angelou
How much more peace would you have in your life if you adopted this as your motto? Instead of venting about it, do something about it! Step up and take it as an opportunity to make a difference. Set [...]
