Who I Am

Figuring out who you really are is a life-long discovery process that, if you pay attention, is all the ‘entertainment’ you’ll likely ever need!
When you ask yourself, “Who am I?” what answers come to mind?
If you’re like most people, your answers are based on (and probably limited to) the roles you play in this lifetime, not who you really are at the core of your Being.
Have you ever tried to separate the two? I have, and I found it to be a liberating experience, to say the least!
Ask yourself again, but this time limit your answers to only those that have to do with your Being - who you are without the body, the job, the kids, the house, the car, the friends, the obligations, the debt, the hobbies…all that ’stuff’ that goes with a human life experience.
I bet you see what I’m driving at by now, don’t you?
Well, I’m going to switch gears here and answer from my own perspective, because it is certainly not my intent or purpose to impose any of my answers on you.
Who am I? I am a spiritual Being, divinely connected to and part of All That Is (God), temporarily manifested in human form. Not the other way around - not a human being who happens to have a Soul embedded somewhere.
Everything else I could say in answer to the “Who am I?” question is a response that is based on my human experience, which in the grand scheme of things, I think we can agree is a relatively fleeting bit of time…very temporary.
Switching my thinking around to live my life from this perspective (I am a spiritual Being temporarily manifested as a human being) has made a huge difference! I have more patience, more confidence, more tolerance…more of all the good stuff this human experience has to offer. When I remember who I am, it’s so much easier not to ’sweat the small stuff’ and I realize just how much of the ’stuff’ is ’small stuff’.

Who am I? I am powerful beyond measure. I am one with all. I am peace, spirit and joy in motion. Feels good to say that and especially to feel that. I am carefree and happy-go-lucky. That feels even better.
I enjoy knowing and saying who I am and I enjoy bringing that core being forth into my earthly work. Thanks for the nudge to see myself as the unlimited being that I am.

Tom,
My pleasure! Remembering who and what we really are, and living our lives from that experience is what I believe this life’s all about! I’m glad you’re here at the same time as me!
